As mentioned, life gives us experiences that help identify what we want. Once we have consciously identified what we prefer, we tend to want the thing, experience, or person immediately. This isn’t a negative factor; However, patience is integral here. We get into the habit of continuously asking for it, thinking about why it isn’t here yet, and questioning if we would ever get it.
For instance, you decided it’s time to change your job, however everything you find just doesn’t feel right to you. This contrasting experience automatically identifies that you want one that feels right, this is the asking. It is not a step that necessarily has to be taken with words, or conscious thought. It is an automatic process, emphasis on this point because sometimes we spend time pushing against what we think we don’t want, we forget to focus on the outcome we prefer.
It is usually when you are not actively and obsessively looking for a specific outcome that what you’ve been asking for finally appears. Many teachings say to visualize the outcome you want, getting as specific as possible. That’s not entirely true and can cause the opposite effect. When you use visualization as a tool, remember what you are achieving is the frequency, feeling, you want the outcome to give you.
The specific outcome can change and look different to what you envisioned; However guaranteed, is the feeling you were searching for. It is important to note that visualization should be used for as long as it gives positive feelings, then stop. When you pay attention to what you want, it also highlights how far you might be from it, or what obstacles are potentially in the way. Some people give up at this stage because they can’t ‘see’ how it could happen for them.
A reminder that it isn’t up to our conscious selves to figure out the ‘how’. We just need to act when we are prompted, hold the vision/feeling of the outcome you want, and trust that everything, especially when we think it has no relation, is working out for us. We don’t always know that we are being protected from, so when there is a block of some kind, trust that it is in place for your benefit.
Our Higher Consciousness has the ideas, and the viewpoint, that knows where to guide and point us toward what we are wanting. It is almost never on our conscious mind’s, aka our, timing. Think back to when you finally received something you had been waiting for, what things did you learn or that fell into place before it manifested into your reality? Would you have been truly ready, or have the capacity to keep it, if it had shown up exactly when you thought you should have it?
For example, years ago I experienced looking for a job, but none felt right. I even accepted one I thought would be great, then tried it for a few days and it just did not fit into my life well at the time. It required much more effort than I could offer with everything else I had going on at that time. My Higher Consciousness was saying that the job I was trying to hard to get away from, was in fact the best place to be at that time.
Once I stopped fighting against where I was, and actively looked at how smoothly my life was flowing, I began to accept that fact. As soon as my life changed to accommodate more, exactly to the day, another much more fitting job made itself available to me. It was not only in the new field I wanted to get into, but it was salary I was mentally asking for.
This example shows that sometimes when we get what we think we want, our experience may show ways that we weren’t quite ready for it. It also shows that in trusting the Divine Timing of your manifestation, it all happens seamlessly and exactly as it is meant to, bringing with it so much joy and ease.
As always courage is required. To recap, visualization is to be used as a tool to achieve the feeling of joy and contentment. Focus on your vision for as all as it feels good, releasing and letting out any doubts or obstacles in your way. Trust that your Higher Consciousness is guiding you each step of the way, especially when it doesn’t seem like something is related. Lastly, trust in the Divine Timing of your life.
